The International Doctoral Seminar (IDS) provides PhD students from Computer/Information and Material sciences with a forum to present and to discuss their research proposals, and an opportunity to get feedback from the experts in the fields. The PhD students will also have possibility to exchange comments with fellow PhD students and established researchers.
The Faculty of Organization and Informatics is located in the very heart of the town of Varaždin, overlooking the popular 'Corso', with the main entrance to the Faculty building also facing the main square. The stately baroque building makes for a setting imbued with history that is both vivid and rich while housing studies for technologies of the future.
Varaždin is a popular destination for the summer holidays. The city has numerous areas of interests ranging from cultural areas (reflected by many museums, galleries and theaters in the area), shopping centers in the downtown core, various sports and recreation facilities, also a rich history in cuisine. The close of the tourist eason is marked by two annual festivals.The annual ŠpancirFest begins at the end of August and ends in September (lasts for 10 days). At this time. the city welcomes artists, street performers, musicians and vendors for what is called "the street walking festival".
